Melissa Anderson - MA, MSW, RSW
Registered Social Worker
Hello! My name is Melissa Anderson and I am Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers. I graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Peace & Conflict Studies from the University of Waterloo, a Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Guelph, a Master's in Social Work from Laurentian University and a post-graduate certificate in Leadership. I am also a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) and an Accredited Certified EFT Practitioner. I have been providing counselling and psychotherapy services for the past 20-years and have experience working with all ages and mental health issues.

In my private practice, I work with adults and children, active and retired Canadian Armed Forces members, and various EAP providers, including NIHB, VQRP+ and VAC. I use a variety of evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, MBSR, EFT, and other somatic therapies unique to the needs of each client.

Reaching out for mental health support is perhaps one of the most courageous things someone can do for themselves and/or their loved ones. Everyone deserves the opportunity to feel loved, and have hope and belonging.
My goal is to help all clients feel secure, connected and empowered.
Heather Haynes - BSW, MSW, RSW
Registered Social Worker,
Hello - I'm Heather Haynes. Life is too short to sit in unhappiness, frustration, anxiety or anger for long! Working with children, youth, adults, couples and families experiencing challenges - social, emotional, behavioural, life transitions or relationships - my approach is trauma-informed, collaborative and draws upon your resilience and strengths. In a safe and comfortable setting, exploring healthy expression of emotion and thoughts, and developing effective strategies that increase your well-being are my priority.

With over 30 years of mental health experience in schools, child and family agencies and private practice, and training in evidence-based modalities (CBT, SFBT, MI, disordered eating/eating disorders) and leadership, an individualized approach to your wellness goals can be jointly created. I work with various EAP providers, including NIHB and VQRP+.

Regardless of how you arrived here, seeking counselling can be a difficult - yet courageous - step to take. How can I help?

WILLA PAterson - yoga instructor;
accredited certified EFT Practitioner
Hi, I'm Willa Paterson. When I first started practicing yoga in the late 90's, I discovered a new way of connecting with myself to relieve stress and emotional baggage; it was life changing. Inspired to teach, I was originally trained by Todd Norian in 2004, and have since blended many subsequent teachings and life experiences into my teaching, and into my personal practice. I am a strong advocate for student-led self exploration and awareness even though I may be me leading the class. I wish for yoga to be accessible to all bodies and have taught people from all walks of life and with varying abilities. My love is to help someone discover a new, spacious, powerful, and kind way of experiencing their body, and how it feels to be in it, so that they can take that with them out into the world once they've rolled up their mat.In harmony with yoga, I fortuitously enrolled in an EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) workshop in 2013 and was smitten by this simple and elegant way of processing emotions. I went on to study with many different teachers and eventually became accredited as an EFT practitioner in 2018. I use EFT, Picture Tapping, and Matrix Re-imprinting to help clients achieve greater relief from stress and its effects on their bodies, hearts, and minds. My deepest wish is that, with renewed clarity and peace, they return to the world more centred in themselves, steadier, more creative, and powerful.
